On 19 April 2026 Legend SMH (s.Grand Slam VDL) finished twelfth in the 1.60m Grand Prix of Mexico City. Two days earlier he was sixth in the GCL competition at that same height. His branch of the Balia family splits off generations above this filly. That is exactly why the evidence closer by carries the most weight.
It sits with the third dam Orbbalia-W (keur, pref, prest). She produced twelve foals and ten of them carry a competition record. The great-uncle Baileys was fourth in the 1.55m Grand Prix of Drachten on 21 January 2018, and two months later he jumped clear in the 1.50m at Vejer de la Frontera. The great-aunt RF d'Orbalia competed at CCI3*-L eventing. Hadibalia D.V. and Jaylobalia D.V. come out of that same mare and are both listed at 1.35m. One generation further, with the fourth dam Ibalia-W, the mares carry predicates such as keur, pref, prest and Elite.
Cato di Balia Z is the fourth foal of Eloisa di Balia. The sire Corydon van T&L is a Prämienhengst who competed at 1.40m. He is a son of Cornado I out of a daughter of Chacco-Blue.
